Looks like the president is giving more ground to republic--no tax increase, even not closing the loopholes, because republic considers it as tax-increase. As exchange, the president will get what he wants--no debt ceiling debate before the election next year.

I hope the democrat senators can fight on this.  At one point, even the minory leader in senator, a republic, said that his party should consider giving some ground in the negotiation.
