由于中产（尤其地一代移民）的收入都是w-2（地主除外，：）。）。投资收入部分太少，每分钱都要交SS tax，最后的benefit又远远不如投入。而income tax上和富人比，好像税率低，而实际上是真正的富人的收入大多来自投资，没有SS tax, 还有15%的低税率；就是靠高工资的富人，他/她的高于11万部分也不交SS tax。
