you cannot save much (for a family of 4, almost nothing). If it's small cities, you can save a lot.

In Los Angeles, a 1400 sq feet house could cost you $500,000 or more. In Texas, a 2800 sq feet house may cost you just $200,000. Then you a lot of money.
