请问大家，冬瓜应该是长的还是圆的？

第一次种冬瓜，冬瓜籽是中国超市买的，纸袋上冬瓜样品图片是短圆形的，怎么到我这里就变种了呢？这瓜现在有41 inch (104 cm) 长，圆周长24inch (61 cm)，关键是它还在往长里长，我怕那细瓜藤无法承受瓜的重量，就用棉线做了个简易网保护着。
这长瓜，应该还是冬瓜吧？
