用于异类之间彼此识别和同类之间彼此吸引。比如猫身上没多大味（对人的嗅觉来说； 猫跟猫可是分得清清楚楚的。。。），狗味就比较明显。所以按说人对HU臭应该是本来是自然接受不应该有讨厌的感觉的。

H臭之来源的大汗XIAN不光在腋下，也分布生殖器附近。至少在我们的先祖时期，那些味道在繁殖过程中是有重要作用的。
