据英文媒体报道，是微软公司的网上监测部门监测到有人利用该公司的服务上传了一个3分多钟的未成年少女的色情片，而该少女就是正在查找的失踪少女。上传视频的地点就在那老头的县里。微软报告了当地警方，结果顺藤摸瓜抓到了那个上传者（美国人），也抓到了下载了这段视频的电脑的主人（嫌犯老头）
