I live in Chicago area. That is true that kids can play in the back yard in all the shade after getting back to home from school, thanks for mentioning that!
For this particular house, I don't worry about Xi Shai too much, the upper level will get some, but the lower level has a big front porch that blocks most of the light for living room, other room does not get much too. I was thinking about I might not get enough sun light.
