Yes, I built my first home as well, didn't get any deduction

on purchasing it. but I did get some incentives such as couple thousands $$ free for my upgrades. Normally if you use builder's loan, you would get 2% discount on closing cost.

Their rate normally is not the best in the market, but you just have to do a calculation yourself to figure out which is the best option for your individual case
