I'd do my best to appeal my innocence. But, I would never do these 2 following:
1.) I would not ask to send the little girl for DNA test in particular after both the judge and my lawyer told me that the DNA test wouldn't reverse the verdict. If the police made a mistake, the grand jury would be able to justify that easily.
2.) I would tell all of my family and friends never post anything online, because that would damage my chance to appeal.
Above are all common sense.
