We just bought one at good location. And it was approved in two weeks by the lender although they lost more than 200k.

I think it depends on the timing and luck. Our case is that the lender might need cash out their property by the end of year.

The bad thing about our case is the property is sold as is condition, so basically we have to be careful with the property condition.

A good agent specializing with short sale may help a lot.
