If you are in US, I guess there will be no problems for your moving in after the house is completed. The problem is that the builder cannot finish on the date the builder promised. The builder will spend much long time to work on the projects that have not been finished. The builder will give you several options for each project. Then you will have to pay more money on each project. If your offer is $200000 now, Probably you will have to pay $230000 before you move in.
