if you don't have an agent. People think they could get better deal, if they don't have agent. My experience is old house, yes, new house from builder, no. To them, policy is policy. They will pay agent, but won't give you better deal, because they don't want to make real estate agents mad. They need their help.
ok, to make it short. What I will do is to call the builder to find out, they may or may not tell you. Check with some chinese agent, they may give you some credit back. I know my area agent give half back to client. I don't know about chicago area though.
