I can understand your hu*****and. I also like new place, full of excitement and surpise. But with kids, a safe, happy, and secure enviroment is the top priority. We stay in many places in US and Canada, each city around 3 years. Now we finialy settled down in Vancounver-Victoria regions, and we super like our life in Canada.

Houston is relative safe and cheap place in US, not a bad choice for a few years. In long-term, all family better in Canada.
