flip house in bay area

this guy bought a house in foster city "754 VESPUCCI LN, Foster City, CA 94404" at 800k on 03/2006 and did some remodeling and now he is selling for 1.2m ??? 300k profit (100k romodeling at most) in less than one year??? How could this guy buy this house at such cheap price in 2006? He bought from foreclosure?

check the address in zillow and ziprealty.com. Buyer needs to be aware of this kind of manipulation.
