as I cannot get the larger loans to buy SFH or even TH at this time because I now own the bank millions of dollars.

It really depends on where you are to invest in condo or SFH. Historically, SFH appreciate more than condos. But in some of the hot market, condos appreciated much more than SFH during the past run-up. I don't know if this will still be true in the future.

The great advantage of a condo is that it is much easier to handle.
