1) Death
2) TAX
3) Paying money for food.
4) Paying money for housing.

You either pay rent to your landlord investor. Or you pay mortgage interest to your bank. You are absolutely right that there are always a buyer market for housing. That is why housing market is one of the safest investments man can find during his life time, as long as he has enough patience to ride over the cycle of up and down.
