I remember you only need a Shengen Visa for both countries

Visa to France is very easy to get. Just preparing all of the documents according to their website, you will get the visas at same day. However, they do need air tickets and hotel reservation papers. Maybe you can let your agent send you some documents to prove you have air tickets and hotel reservation.
