随着闹钟的铃声，还是早上六点三十分，还是日复一日地，极不情愿的从床上爬起来，看了一眼日历，今天是九月十五日了。
九月十五日，非年非节，本来应该不是什么特殊的日子，然而，正是去年的今天，华尔街的巨无霸，资本主义金融象征之一的Lehman Brothers 正式宣布进入Chapter 11，创造了美国历史上最大的破产案，震惊了世界，也开始了这场仿佛是早有预兆，又似乎是突如其来的，自30年代来最严重的经济大萧条。
还记得Lehman 的CEO Dick Fuld 在国会作证时最后那一段既无奈又伤感的表白，听起来让人感动：
“I do not know why we were the only one...my employees, my shareholders, my clients, have taken a huge amount of pain.... And again, not that anybody on this committee cares about this, but I wake up every single night thinking, ‘what could I have done differently? What could I have said? What should I have done?... And I have searched myself every single night. And I come back to this: at
