- July 7: Boeing agrees to plead guilty to a felony fraud charge in a deal with the US Justice Department. Boeing also agreed to pay a $487.2 million fine, spend at least $455 million over three years on compliance and safety programs and be supervised by an independent monitor.[142] The plea deal is later rejected by a federal judge due to it containing DEI requirements for the selection of the independent monitor.[12]
