You don't have to wait, you can buy a house right now, interest rate is not good as year 2003 but not bad at all. Interest rate will goes up and up in nearest few years and late will goes down again. Your money in bank also earn more interests. I think you should understand economy cycle. It takes about 10 years for each period.
