I just sold one of my houses in SF bay area

I did not use Chinese agent.

The American agents are expensive, but very professional. The house was pending within one week.

My take on this:

Don't try to save money as much as possible. Follow the agent's suggestions, whenever they are reasonable. They know the market better than you do.

I am pretty happy in general with the transaction.
