I got oak hardwood everywhere including basement and top floor except kitchen, foyer entry and basement entry with tiles.

Basement with subfloor system between concret and hardwood. And it works beautifuly. You can get the subfloor system from any Home Depot.

It is awesome. We feel great about it. Oak hardwood just looks good.
