Your Honor：

I was issued a traffic ticket for speeding on January 26, 2021, ticket number 2452493. 

Said ticket alleges that I was driving at xx miles per hour in a 25 MPH zone.

I am hereby respectfully appealing from said ticket for the following reason: 

When I was stopped and issued said ticket, I was legally driving at xx miles per hour in a 35 MPH zone, not a 25 MPH zone. 

Statement of Facts:

1. The issuing officer stopped me as I was driving north on Lee Road near The Little Angels Center located at 3939 Lee Road, CLeveland OH 44128, which is south of the intersection of  Lee Road and Glendale Avenue. 

         The first picture below was taken by the issuing officer.As is clearly shown in said picture, he                   stopped me south of and well before the intersection of Lee Road and Glendale Avenue.

         The second picture below is Google map showing the location of The Little Angels Center south             of Glendale Avenue.

2. The first 25 MPH speed limit sign on Lee Road in the relevant area stands north of the intersection of Lee Road with Glendale Avenue. 
3. The last speed limit sign on Lee Road south of and before said 25 MPH sign shows 35 MPH.

Statement of Law:

1. A speed limit zone area becomes effective at the point of the speed limit sign.

Conclusion:

The aforesaid facts and law lead to the conclusion that I was stopped and issued the ticket in question when I was driving legally at xx miles per hour in a 35 MPH zone.

For the aforesaid reasons, I respectfully request that the ticket in question be dismissed with prejudice.
