I do not think it is an approriate way to annouce some deadly diseases in public through wechat, facebook, twitter, regardless in China or the US. 

However, the problem in China is that the wrong action by the government. So the mistake made by the goverment, which is a diaster, makes the first mistake to be right and the person to become a hero.

Something is wrong with the system.
