六月玫瑰一院香

夏天走过来，带来的是满院的鲜花。在院子里忙忙碌碌了一个春天，现在终于可以稍停一下，在花前花后轻轻徘徊，嗅着空气里那些或浅或浓的玫瑰花香。

 

院子的花里，花时间最多的是玫瑰。剪枝，施肥，防治病虫害，应对各种大小动物，地下的mole, 地上的土拨鼠（groundhog), 兔子和鹿，初冬时还要做些过冬准备。这些的忙碌，得到的回报是从六月到十月几个月间玫瑰的盛开。

 

早期欧洲（法国）玫瑰，一年只开放一次，后来从中国引进月季，各种嫁接后培养的现代玫瑰，夏天可以开花几次（repeated bloomers)。我的院子里只种重复开花的品种，大概是小农意识，只想在有限的空间里在夏天和秋天欣赏无数的美和沁人的花香。
