California couple charged in murder of sheriff's volunteer, 21, who was found beaten, stabbed and nearly burned beyond recognition in a creek
- Laura Rodgers and her boyfriend Curtys Entoine Taylor have been accused of killing a sheriff's office volunteer
- Alameda County Sheriff's Office Explorer Karla Ramirez-Segoviano was found beaten, stabbed and burned on Thursday
- Rodgers, who is a former friend a co-worker of the victim, along with Taylor are now charged with murder
- Rodgers told police she had planned the murder and discussed it with Taylor beforehand
- Motive for the killing has not been released but police believe it was unrelated to Ramirez-Segoviano's work as a police explorer
