Bathroom sink faucet

Thanks in advance for answering my questions.

This is my bathroom sink faucet.  When I turn on the right switch, there is no problem.  But the left side (hot water) seems to be somewhat stuck.  I can turn it, but it is not very smooth.  Sometimes it is OK though.  Sometimes it seems worse. 

I cannot find the model number anywhere on the faucet.  I have Moen in other places, and they seem to have a model number on the faucet.  I guess this is not a Moen.

My questions:

1. Is there anything I can do to make the left switch work better?

2. I think over time it will be worse.  If I am going to have it replaced, what measurements do I need in order to purchase the right one?  I think I should measure the distance between the faucet and the wall behind it, and the approximate size of the sink?  I will also take the pictures to HD and show them the pics.
