Should I return it?

Bought an air compressor for sprinkler winterization, then found that our sprinkler does not need to do it, the water drain out automatically. Should we return the air compressor? It seems no use. LG does not want to return, but I think it is no use at all, why leave there as display? Thanks for your input.
