RE: Bathtub cleaning

After some time, the tiles in the bathtub will accumulate some white powder.  I think this comes from the water.  Is there any good way to clean the powder besides scrubbing? 
Also, what is a good way to clean the shower curtain?  AFter some time, they will accumulate some mildew and black stains.  The only easy way is to spray them often, right?
