India: India, a country known for its racial and cultural diversity, ranked second, with 43.5 per cent preferring neighbours of similar race.
Egypt: Egypt also ranked high, more than 30% of its population opposed to racially-varied neighbours.
Saudi Arabia: Thirty per cent of Saudi Arabians were reluctant to have a neighbour of another race.
Iran: Iran, another West Asian country, also ranked among the five most intolerant countries, based on the World Value Survey.
Vietnam: Over 30 per cent of Vietnamese respondents said they would rather not live next to someone of a different race.
Indonesia: Indonesia, the world's fourth most populous country, is also one of its least tolerant, with over 30 percent hostile to racially different neighbours.
