经过5月份持续干旱，后院的草坪情况不妙，5年前铺的brand new lawn, 5年之内没有系统维护，再不修补似乎没有回天之势，于是决定renovate一下，网上找了若干资料，开始干。
理想中的lawn，在网上找到了榜样如下，经过网上调研，需要1-2年的时间，而且lawn mower要upgrade才能出这种stripe效果，upgrade不在话下，但是lawn底子是最重要的，没有content内在，表面再装饰也欠缺点内涵。。所以，准备先把content内在build up。。long way to go~~~~
第一步，scarify, 网上找的scarify的作用：
The deeper the blades go the more extreme and vigorous the effect.
A deep incision into the soil will cut through the shallow roots of the grass which in turn should lead to a tillering - tillering is when the grass sends out new shoots from the root base and increase the grass mass by extending its own rootzone. If the procedure is practised on a regular basis this root pruning will encourage a thick rootzone and in the process crowd out weed and discourage moss.
A light scarify can be set to brush the surface without any interference with the root of the grass. This is effective if you just want to remove a build up of dead grass or take out lateral growth. I would practice this procedure on a regular basis.

最佳深度scarify的时间是在春秋2季，7月份时间不是最佳但是我这儿温度当时在15-16摄氏度，这个温度scarify之后撒草种子修补还能发芽，所以就light scarify了一下。。一般scarify之后草坪会变成泥巴坪^^，不过几个星期后草坪会恢复并且状况比scarify之前更好，下面的是网上找来的scarify before and after的例子：http://www.lawnrangersuk.com/joomla1_5/index.php?option=com_content&view=section&id=13&Itemid=5
7月4日
scarify之前的照片，没有找到整个草坪的照片，找了一张草坪损坏比较厉害的那个部分的照片，草皮很干燥，有些干草，给人不透气的感觉：
7月9日
scarify之后的照片，干完之后天色已晚，有些暗，草坪成了泥巴坪，哈哈（幸亏干之前网上做足了功课有心理准备，不然草坪成这个样子都要哭出来了）：

7月10日
撒种子修补草坪：
然后用了3袋compost在草皮泥土裸露多的部分铺上薄薄的一层，倒出一袋才想起拍片：
又买了个sprinkler每天喷洒，这个型号cover的面积最大，正好cover我的后院的面积：
7月19日
嫩嫩的草芽，我的希望，长出来了,盖住了compost :DDDD
7月27日
嫩草的高度够了，把草坪mow了一下，撒4in1，养分，杀weeds，杀moss,保水的fertiliser颗粒：
