Usually you don't PAINT but STAIN the deck especially if you want to show wood grains.  Though you also can use solid color stain that will cove wood natural grains.  Buy some stain from Home Depot'Lowe's or other home stores.  You can brush or spray on.  You may also want to cover the underside of the deck.  Before stain, pressure wash the deck and get rid loose dirt.  Sometimes you may want to use bleach or other chemical agents to clean the deck thoroughly.
