Visits to dentists

Does your dentist/doctor give you a discount when you pay cash? 

How much have they charged you for a crown?  Metal crown; color is like metal; of course, it is located way inside the mouth.

Have you ever visited a gum doctor/peridontist?  What was the experiece like?
