RE: Gas furnace and electric usage

I have set the fan for my furnace to “auto”, but it appears that the fan runs all the time. Also, my electric bill has jumped more than 100%. Does a gas furnace also use electric for the fan that is running?

Also, why is the fanning running all the time?
