怎么确定地界?

买房时,因为mortgage company 不要求我们order survey service ($300), 也就是确定地界,我们图省钱,也就没有做. 可是现在我在勾画我们yard的蓝图时,不知道地界,很觉得不方便.比如我很想用树叶种蘑菇,可总不能在院子中间堆一堆叶子吧,太难看.我家同邻居家之间邻居种了一排shrub. 我想把叶子挨着shrub边放.但不知道地界,怕越界.

而且shrub朝我们这边的地上部分很难看,我想垒个花界啥的 (raised flower bed),也怕越界.

我现在可以自己去survey service吗? 有没有人做过? 谢过了先.
