look at their face. for example after prepare the dinner and set up the table, and called them for dinner, it may take them quite a while to show up. and once my in -law found out she didn't get the pan fried egg which i thought bad for seniors with gallblade problem,so i only cooked for kids, no for the rest of family, she gave me a big fit. But about the whole dinner i cooked for you.
