国内装修 looks fine on the surface. The real gap from US renovation is the quality of these materials in daily use. They look OK from a distance, but when you look closely or start using them, numerous problems emerge.
Most chinese also like the shining ceremic tiles on the walls. They are really the most inexpensive materials on the market. If you need something with more texture or character, well, the price shot up. I have helped renovating two apartments in China. It was frustrating trying to find really good quality material if you don't have the exact same taste as the mainstream market.
