sincerely ask for opinions about sofa and curtain (图)

Sorry for letting you see a messy family room. i have been trying to buy sofa and curtains for this family room but couldn't find proper color, style nor proper furniture store. I would appreciate XDJMs opinions on 1) should i re-paint the wall to a warmer color? 2) should i buy leather or fabric sofa? 3) the color of the sofa: yellowish? white? solid? flowery? 4) where should i go buy the curtain? and etc. Thank you in advance.
