They are little fat worms,black-grey color, about 1.5cm to 2cm long.They eat the roots of grass. In Fall, they turn into craneflies, or in slang 'daddy-long-legs'.

Treatment is very expensive, has to be done in certain time of the year.

If you could attact a lot of birds to pick on your lawn, you could save a lot of money.
