1 car 0.5 hp more than enough

I have 2 car garage door with 0.5 hp - has been used for 15 years - the old style with a flexible metal chain and very noisy. Still works in good shape.

One can buy a brand new motor at Homedepot for $120 - 180 and put it on DIY. Why cost $1500?
