I had an experience as a jury member this summer

It was a very interesting experience, the case was very simple, not like CSI Miami.
The hu*****and assaulted wife, he forced his wife to have sex with him, and wife did not want to, then hu*****and beat her with his "closed hand" (it is very important to verify if his hand was open or close in order to measure how much harm he did to his wife). Because their two kids observed the this event, and testify as witness, so jury made decision of "Guilty", that poor guy has a criminal record now. The whole session took 3 days, 12 of the members must come to the same solution, otherwise, we need to stay in hotel until we come to the same solution.
Finally, I got a cheque from government of $24 for appreciation of my service as jury member, and I received a letter to certify my service and promise me in next 3 years I won't be picked as jury member.
