my understanding, no trouble to [at least] buyer. (There are cases that buyer bypass buyer's angent and talked to seller's agent directly -- of course, under normal circumstance, nobody should do it -- without any trouble.) Also, if you are a buyer, unless you know your agent really well and trust him/her, don't sign contract with buyer's agent.
