美坛奇葩/园园《我爱你塞北的雪》双语 园园英文随笔

I bumped into this forum by an accident click. Maybe that day, my dear little mouse wanted to take me to this foreign atmosphere and wonder freely for a little while like the Alice in a wonderland. I was surprised to find there are so many people having such an enthusiasm for English in this forum. I was also surprised to find quite some web friends having high skills in English writing, English speaking and English translation, etc. From that moment on, I found myself become an occasional lurker. Though I do not have luxury of time to spend hours to chitchat with a lot of you to make myself acquaintance here, I did hone my English skills in my own way, little by little I am taking baby steps to improve myself.

Today I pluck up my courage to write my feeling in English to tell you one of the things that impressed me the most here. I recalled clearly that once I struggled to translate a Chinese song into English. Some of my foreign listeners on YouTube wanted to know what I have sung. I wanted to do a side by side translation, so they would know exactly what I sung for each sentence. I knew there must be an equivalent expression in English to translate a Chinese song into English, but which word or phrase was the most appropriate one to deliver the same meaning. I found I was well off the target. I could not deliver. I was only able to describe the general meaning of the song. So when I called for help here one day and got two versions of translation for 《走天涯》from lilac09 and美坛奇葩，I treated both as my treasure because those words used would not occur to me at all if I would have done the translation myself. I admire you with my humble heart. I salute you with my humble hand.

Thanks 美坛奇葩 who has given me a lot of encouragement for my songs. I have to say I have the same respect for your translation. I am presenting美坛奇葩 beautiful English translation of the popular Chinese song 《我爱你塞北的雪》。 I did try to sing the song in English, but I found I have not got the tone and rhythm for the English version. I had to admit I did not do well. Maybe one day, I will figure out how to sing English translation song, this is quite different than to sing an English song because I can mimic the original singer. But for an English translation song, I have no one to copy.

To conclude my writing here, I would like to ask you to tell me if I made any grammar mistake or any Chiglish expression.
