"First of May” is a song recorded by the Bee Gees and released as a single in 1969. The title of the song was inspired by their dog's birthday which is on 1st of May. After its release, "First of May" enjoyed a resurgence for several times. In 1971, the song was featured in the soundtrack to Melody, a British motion picture about puppy love. In 1996, the song was used as a theme of the Japanese drama Wakaba no Koro. The song reissued on CD climbed the country's chart again. Cover versions of this song were recorded by several famous vocalists and groups. This song was also sung by Sarah Brightman in her successful world tour Symphony.
The Bee Gees have top 10 hit songs in their career. The peak of their career was during the late 1970s. The Bee Gees saturation at this time was such, on one occasion, DJ even burned their records at a football event during half-time. The Bee Gees continued their success in Europe during the 1980s, 1990s. The world recognized what Bee Gees have made to not only Disco, but many styles of music over the decades. The Bee Gees received many awards during the late 1990s. They were inducted into the Rock'n'Roll Hall of Fame and were also inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
Sadly in January 2003, Maurice Gibb passed away. Barry and Robin are continuing with their current side-projects. It may or may not be as the Bee Gees any more, but will always be as brothers, something no one can take away from them.

One day, Daniel falls in love with Melody Perkins and announces to their parents that they want to get married. Not sometime in the future, but now. However, the adults, parents and teachers alike try to dissuade them. Their classmates are determined to go ahead to help them. In a far place they marry the couple. Their parents follow them and try to stop it. The children go wild and make a car explode. Melody and Daniel run away in a handcar down the railway line. They are only 12 years old when they marry.
