解析和应用：organ是一个多义词，n. 器官；机构；风琴；管风琴；嗓音；
2.Rachel: (on phone) Daddy, I just... I can't marry him! I'm sorry. I just don't love him. Well, it matters to me!
译文：爸，我不能嫁给他…对不起，我只是不爱他。但是，这和我相关。
解析和应用：这里目测Rachel的father最后一句话应该是，It doesn’t matter to me, 所以Rachel反驳道 it matters to me!
4.Joey: I say push her down the stairs.
译文：我建议推她下楼。
解析和应用：这里可以注意say的用法，表达自己观点的时候就可以这样说。另外就是推下楼的说法，可以说：He pushed his sister down the stairs.
5.Rachel: It's like, it's like, all of my life, everyone has always told me, , 'You're a shoe!
译文：我这一生中，大家都告诉我：你是一只鞋
解析和应用：表达从小到大爸妈都教育我好好学习可以说：All of my life, my parents have always told me, 'You must study hard! '

解析和应用：学个新单词 metaphor n. 暗喻，隐喻；比喻说法
7.Monica: Well, I guess we've established who's staying here with Monica...
译文：我想我们已确定好谁要和莫妮卡住在这儿
解析和应用：establish v. 建立，创立；确立；获得接受；查实，证实 。 可以用来表达确定的意思，也有建立的意思，如 I’ve established a great relationship with him.
8.Time Lapse 时间流逝，Lapse n. 失效；流逝；过失
9.Just try to think of nice calm things
译文：试着去想宁静美好的事物
解析和应用：calm我们常用来形容人冷静，平静。也可以用来形容事物，如The lake is calm, the water is not moving. 湖面平静，水静止不动
10.Monica: this is probably for the best, y'know?
译文：或许这样最好
解析和应用：for the best, 是最好的（安排）。工作的时候发现一个方法很好用，就可以说：It turned out to be for the best.
11.Joey: Me and Chandler live across the hall. And he's away a lot.
译文：我和钱德勒就住在对面，而且他经常不在家。
解析和应用：表达一个人经常不在家，he’s away a lot.
12.Monica: Joey, stop hitting on her! It's her wedding day!
译文：Joey, 不要撩她了，今天是她结婚的日子。
解析和应用： 如果你男朋友发现有人在撩你，他可能就会说：You can not hit on her any more.
13.Joey: What, like there's a rule or something?
译文：什么？有规定不能吗？
解析和应用：当你反驳别人禁止你做某事的时候就可以说，Is there a rule or something?

15.Chandler: Ooh, this is a Dear Diary moment.
译文：真是个可以载入日记的时刻
解析和应用：老外写日记的第一句经常会是，dear diary. 所以这里Chandler很幽默地表达这是Monica非常激动的时刻。我们平时也可以用，比如说获奖了，就可以说，That is really a dear diary moment.
16.Chandler: I'm sorry, I didn't catch your name.
译文：抱歉，我没听清楚你名字。
解析和应用：没有听清楚别人说的话，就可以说 I didn’t catch what you just said.
17.Monica: My brother's going through that right now, he's such a mess. How did you get through it?
译文：我哥正承受着这种痛苦，他一团糟糕。你是怎么熬过来的？
解析和应用：such a mess, 形容状态很糟糕。Get through, 挺过来，熬过来。

解析和应用：steer clear of 得远远的，如说离吸烟的人远一点就可以说，Steer clear of the smokers.

译文：开玩笑？ 我什么都不会！今天的十二个面试全泡汤了。
解释和应用：两个表达方式。
第一、 be trained for nothing - 什么都不会，不学无术。读书的时候班上总有几个后进生被老师骂成 be trained for nothing。
第二、be laughed out of 表现太差，太出丑，被笑话
21.Chandler: Did you make it, or are you just serving it?
译文：你煮的还只是端过来而已？
解析和应用：make coffee 是自己做，serve coffee就只是提供服务。
