再来一组工作中听到或见到的English idioms and common phrases

工作中常常会听到或看到一些English idioms and common phrases. 我把它们总结了一下，在这里贴一部分：

•sell someone short 没有足够地指出一个人的好的品质, 优点等

•roll one's eyes 翻白眼

•off the charts 爆表, 超乎寻常

•bring out the big guns 用最厉害最有威力的武器或工具, 或是用最能干的人

•behind the scenes 幕后

•rewind the clock 时间倒流

•wax and wane 消长不定, 时涨时跌

•red herring 误导人的线索

•bark up the wrong tree 误入歧途或搞错行动方向

•bite off more than one can chew 做一些对一个人来说太难的事情

•compare apples and/to/with oranges 比较两个被认为差异很大的东西

•double/triple whammy 两个或三个不愉快或困难的情况同时发生或相继发生
