I turned over the next page of this history book, put the book down on the right side of my bed. I lighted up a cigarette and looked at the cigarette butts in the ashtray, then the smoke. Thoughts took me along with the smokes in the air. It looked somehow has a pattern that God allowed the physical convection effect to have, that random events still have their own meanings according to modern science, science that covers everything in this modern world. I got off the bed, and walked to the washroom. It is time right passed 12am, the clock in the living room just ticked with the never changing sound, din, din, din It is an old styled clock, kind that produced in Europe when the science and engineering just turned into its most advanced era. I dont think many people still have this kind of clocks, maybe, people who like antiques still have them, or, the modern duplicates. It is still right though, mechanical with fine wood furnishes, even runs better than the quartz waist watch on my waist. It is year 2018, and one hundred year ago, liberation in China occurred unnaturally, and a brand new communist government and socialistic social system were created from scratch after thousands of years of ruling of emperor, dynasty after dynasty. After that, many people know, many years of civil war fighting for the power between two liberation parties, liberalism lead by capitalists and intellects and communists lead by poors and intellects, right after the Japanese conquer in the mainland and south east asia. They used to fight together against Japanese as well as for the liberation again the emperor. I still remember those described in the book, a bloody and glorious Chinese civilization like all other old civilization on the blue planet.
I have been in Canada for quite a long time, twenty seven years already. It is never easy here, study, work, and to know the outside world. Also, a socialistic world makes ones life easier. Rather, a competitive atmosphere among young people as well as adults and caring elders society. They are lots of people from other places like me, from China. They are from all over the world. Individulism, people are breeded in the sound strange way that only adults in China understand. In China, individualism does not bear a straight meaning, and it does not even carry merely the predominant aspect of the society. Rather, group events represent modern Chinese social behavior. In Canada, I grew up through lots of rough and than rougher matters. When I turn myself back to my life as well as my journey, I just found that bark on this maple tree is deep and hard. I dont know others, white people or people of other ethnic groups. Ethnic group orient minority and group oriented majority are the main aspect of social life here. I am one of them.
