如果翻译时能用些idiomatic expressions，表达或许更生动些？

譬如，这股票的“下滑”可用英语习语Lose ground(这个词根据不同场合有多种意思，在这里是股票贬值，下滑的意思)，比用down or slide来得更地道,生动,CNN就是这么报道的，China stocks continued to lose ground on Tuesday.....。

想起很著名的一句国军宣传语： 共军节节败退，国军乘胜追击。
似可译为： The Communist troops continued to lose ground with the KMT forces in hot pursuit.
