老友记第二问

1）MONICA和WINE GUY “PAUL”约会，PAUL 进来时，CHANDLER： I ‘m sorry, I didn't catch your name, Paul, was it?------我想着，应该问，is it?  为啥问 "was it“ ？这里面是否含有讽刺取笑PAUL的意思？

2）CHANDLER , JOEY 帮ROSS装家具，ROSS: I’m supposed to attach a brackety thing to the side things, using a bunch of these little worm guys. i have no brackety thing, I see no whim guys.....其中的”worm guys" "whim guys" 是指什么家具配件？螺丝等等？.......
CHANDLER: look,ross, you gotta understand, between us we haven't had a relationship that has lasted longer than a Mento. you, however, have had the love of a woman for four years. four years of closeness and sharing at the end of which she ripped your heart out, and that is why we don't do it! I don't think that was my point!------这其中“mento" 是咋意思？ 还有后面的”that's why we don't do it!,  跟前面CHANDLER表达的意思如何连在一起？ 为咋说你和女朋友相处四年，最后她拿走你的东西，伤了你的心，又来一句"that's why we don't do it,? 是不是说我们不会像你那样傻，跟同一个女人谈四年恋爱？

顺便说两句，谢谢前面朋友对第一个问题的指教！实际上我还不是很懂CHANDLER说的那段带有COLOUR的话，“I look down, and realize there is a phone......"  我懂这段话的”物理“含义，我要问的是，他把”那“比喻成”PHONE"，又转到接到妈妈的电话，有点理解不透“笑”的含义。还有，前面他们刚刚在说MONICA约会的朋友“not even a date"，后来就转到这段带颜色的话，之间有何关联？
