I was flattered as usual.

At college, we did spend the first two years studying the same textbooks as English majors. Perhaps I can count myself as a half English major?

Lilac sounds like an English major, sensitive and literate. With accurate pronunciation and solid grammar, FWQ is absolute English major. In fact, the way that you gals take criticism so gracefully always impresses me. I don’t have such courage for being grilled in public. Guess some women simply can be more broad-minded (metaphorically:) than a few men here.

Btw, I enjoy Garrison Keillor’s A Prairie Home Companion on NPR. He happens to be English major. Currently, I am savoring Peter Hessler’s great book -- River Town. He also used to major in English. As a half English major, I am gonna smug about the newly acquired sense of belongingness for the rest of the day:)
